Privacy policy

How Tradewright LLC collects, uses, shares and protects personal information on this website and in the Tradewright product.

Tradewright LLC ("Tradewright", "we", "us") builds residential HVAC design-to-contract software for contractors. This policy covers two things: this website (tradewright.io and its calculators, guides, templates and forms) and the Tradewright application used by our customers. Where the product is concerned, our customer (the contractor) decides what homeowner information is entered; we process it on the customer's behalf under our subscription agreement.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Forms. When you book a demo, download a template, email yourself a calculator result or contact us: name, work email, company, state, and optionally your team size, the CRM you use and your message.
Customer accounts. When a contractor subscribes: business name, billing contact, user names and emails, price book, branding and settings.
Communications. Emails, support requests and notes from calls.

Information collected automatically

Campaign and referral data. UTM parameters, ad click IDs, the referring page and your landing page are kept for the length of your browser session and attached to any form you submit.
Analytics and marketing tags, only with your consent. Google Analytics 4 (with IP anonymization), the LinkedIn Insight Tag and the Meta Pixel. None of these load until you allow them. See the cookie policy for the full list.
Server logs. IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, kept for security and debugging.

Information our customers enter in the product

Contractors using Tradewright enter information about homes and homeowners: addresses, scans and floor plans, photos of equipment, load calculations, proposals, signatures and payment or financing requests. Tradewright processes this information to provide the service to the contractor. Payment card details are handled by our payment partners and are not stored by Tradewright.

2. How we use information

To respond to your request: schedule a demo, send a template, deliver a calculator result, answer a question.
To provide, secure and improve the Tradewright product and this website.
To understand which pages, tools and campaigns are useful (analytics, with consent).
To measure and run advertising (marketing tags, with consent).
To send product and educational email you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To comply with law and enforce our terms.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use homeowner data entered by our customers for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

Service providers that process data for us: hosting, CRM and email (HubSpot), scheduling, analytics and advertising platforms (only with consent), payment and financing partners, e-signature. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
Our customers. Information a homeowner provides during a contractor's visit belongs to that contractor's account and is shared with them.
Legal. When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a merger or sale, in which case this policy continues to apply.

4. Cookies and tracking

Only strictly necessary storage runs by default. Analytics and marketing cookies require your opt-in, which you can change at any time. Google Consent Mode defaults to "denied" until you choose. Full details, names and durations are in the cookie policy.

5. Retention

Lead and contact records: for as long as we have a business relationship or a legitimate reason to follow up, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
Customer account data: for the term of the subscription and a limited period after, so the customer can export it.
Session attribution: the browser session. Server logs: a limited period for security.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

Email preferences. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us.
Cookies. Change your choices with the button above or in the footer.
Access, correction, deletion. Email hello@tradewright.io with "Privacy request" in the subject. We will verify your identity and respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent where permitted.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising without consent, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out where required.
Homeowners. If a contractor entered your information into Tradewright, please contact that contractor first. They control the account. We will assist them in responding.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to staff who need it, with role-based permissions and logging. Payment card data never touches our servers. See our security page for more, including how to report a vulnerability.

8. Children

This website and the product are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, email us and we will delete it.

9. Where data is processed

We are based in the United States and process data there. If you visit from elsewhere, you consent to processing in the United States.

10. Changes

We will post changes here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will notify customers by email and, for cookies, ask for consent again.
